What enviromental problems are caused by solar energy and what is the idea for the cost of say, one solar panel?
The pros of solar energy are abundant; here are a few from Natural Home magazine. Solar power can be ties to a grid or stand alone and it increases the home’s value. Not only does it have moveable parts, but also emits no waste. There are tax incentives that are widely available and experienced installers readily available nationwide.
A few of the disadvantages of solar power are trees, and location. If you or your neighbors have mature trees that shade your roof, solar power panels may be difficult.
I came accross a new, proven and tested home made wind power system and solar power system which eliminates our electricity bills. It was written by a Renewable energy enthusiasts Michael Harvey the diy called Earth4energy. You can get your copy to save energy and help environment while eliminating your power bills. Properties of solar panel?
I know this is too general, but i am to write a report on the materials used to make solar panels, and i am to include the physical, mechanical ,and chemical properties of the materials.
It’s just too general, such that i am lost. There are so many types of solar panels. So i hope some experts on this subject can give me a general guide lines ,maybe the tensile strength ?
as much as you can please.
Why would i ask when i can find the answers on wikipedia???
This site should provide you with some useful information for your report although some of the contents may be a little outdated it still serves as a good reference.

Also where I can inquire here in the Philippines (NCR) about the installation of Solar Power Energy?
I would not bother… You will not get your money back on the savings……….
What are the drawbacks to using wind turbines or solar panels for providing all power to a home?
A. The wind and sun are not constant, so there would be times when no electricity would be generated.
B. The wind and sun are constant, so there would be plenty of electricity for the home.
C. Wind and solar power are inefficient and too expensive to use and maintain.
D. Wind and solar power are efficient, but they are not able to produce enough electricity for a single home.
again trying to help..again thnx 4 the previous………
nothing else…………but A.
NO COMMENTS ON THE OTHER OPTIONS….
except these there is another drawback…….its when your brother breaks the solar panel after quarrel with you……then no electricity will b produced………….hope this funny answer u liked……..its just to make yahhooooooooooo answer FUNNNNN…………
How much money would it cost if we used solar energy and kinetic energy to supply the united states?
I need to know how much money it would cost to supply the entire united states with kinetic, wind, solar, and hydro-electric energy THANKS!!!! ![]()
Concentrating solar energy collectors with liquid salt heat storage for nights and cloudy days would need to cover about a 100 mile square area in a desert location to power the entire US including transportation. The total estimate for that to be built is around 10-12 trillion $$. If you figure we buy 100 billion $$ worth of oil each year from foreign countries, spent upwards of $1 trillion on a useless war in a region rich in oil (don’t tell me oil had nothing to do with our being there, I don’t believe that) and will spend another $1 trillion paying for the health care of those wounded in that war, made enough enemies so we will have to spend another $1 trillion over the next few years fighting the muslims in the mideast and destroying our environment while making millions sick at a huge cost to the economy by continuing to burn coal I think $10 trillion would be a pretty good bargain.

I want to install solar panels for hot water, but my question is what you suggest i can do when its summer and i dont need so much hot water? I will use this water to warm a factory and i will have to install at least 10 solar panels to do that. Thank you!
I work with a company called enerworks. They have a thermal panel that has baffles that open if your system overheats, no need for a heat dump or blow off situation. what is your storage?
This company has basically just fallen into my lap, but it needs a name. It is a solar energy company that uses UV rays. So, you can get solar energy even on a cloudy day!
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Solar Electric, but it is probably already taken. Rainy Day Solar Products. Cloudy Day Solar Panels.
We live in a very high sun area, and I’m thinking solar panels could do nothing but good. How hard is it to implement this, and does anyone have any links to good info?
I work on a lot homes and I’ve never seen one that worked more than 2 or 3 years. most of them were disconnected. maybe the future will give us better technology
I want to find a stove and air conditioner that are energy efficient. The air condioner has to use solar energy and less than 500 watts. Can somebody send me the link of where i can find these products?
Also, can you turn on and off solat power lights?
I don’t know if I can answer your question in the fashion you wish it to be answered. I don’t know of any specific manufacturer which makes either a solar powered A/C unit or stove. There are many smaller appliances that are solar powered or portable solar arrays to power small appliances.
To give you an idea, a portable room A/C unit uses 1200 watt to start the unit and 1000 watts to run. With my simple mind, it would take at least 6 @ 200 watts panels or more (I’m do not have any solar power training, so consult a professional). If you are looking to go green for your home, look into purchasing a solar system. The price has been falling over the years and the technology has been improving. In addition, there are many grants and tax incentives to make it more affordable. Solar system are making more economic sense today.
My family is really "Green" when it comes to our lifestyle. I just need to know how much it would cost for solar panels to provide our electricity. How many would one house need? Do they charge by the panel?
It is not that simple. You need panels, batteries to store the energy, an inverter. Your usage can be figured out by a professional who will ask you questions about your lifestyle to figure out your average usage, determining your panel/battery needs. You cannot run any high usage items such as electric dryers or electric stoves, or electric furnace (depending on where you live). There are a lot of variables. You will be looking at around $20-30000 per average 4 person household.
